Description:  The ability and willingness to do tasks/perform services in support of other ministries or activities, allowing other people to use their gifts most effectively. One can identify and begin to meet needs before being asked to do so. One who is willing and excited to do the “behind the scenes” work of the community.

Characteristics:  This is a person who can…

·        Be resourceful in finishing tasks

·        Enjoy performing tasks others might see as difficult or thankless

·        Attach spiritual significance to practical acts

·        Find fulfillment without needing constant affirmation

·        Adjust their lives so as to meet the need, finish the task, fulfill the commitment

Cautions/liabilities:

·        May become discouraged if people do not notice

·        May neglect personal responsibilities

·        Must understand the absolutely vital nature of this gift in the community with or without affirmation or acclaim.

·        May base their self-esteem/self-worth on what they do for Christ, rather than who they in Christ.

·        May feel “used” by others, and may actually be unhealthily “used” by others.
